HCI BURSARIES 2017 - 2018

The HCI Foundation Bursary Programme provides financial assistance to academically deserving and financially needy undergraduate students in any field of study and any year of study for a first tertiary qualification, or continuing students who enrol for Honours at a public University or University of Technology in South Africa.

Newcomer Academic Bursaries

The bursaries are automatically awarded (you need not apply for them) to all fulltime first-year students who:

Obtained an average percentage of 75% or higher in the Grade 12 final examination.
The bursary is awarded based on the arithmetic average of the percentages of the student’s six best subjects, excluding Life Orientation. The percentage obtained in non-designated subjects is however decreased by ten percent in calculating merit bursaries. The marks are not rounded off. Bursary details

DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND FISHERIES BURSARY

The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries intends to award comprehensive  bursaries to qualifying applicants pursuing and/or intending to further their studies in critical scarce skills in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors for the 2014 academic year.

The bursaries will cover tuition, accommodation, books, meals and monthly allowance. The bursary awards target the previously disadvantaged and impoverished persons from poverty-stricken and deep rural communities. Females and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Bursary details here

FNB BURSARY

The FirstRand Foundation, and the FNB Fund specifically have made a significant contribution to the education sector in South Africa to date.
This has predominantly been in the areas of Early Childhood Development, Hospice, and Tertiary Bursaries.

Increasing awareness as to the importance of interventions at Primary School level has led to the inception of a Primary Education Programme to roll out in 2013. Ten primary schools in each of two KwaZulu-Natal Education Districts, namely the Umlazi and uMgungundlovu districts, have been identified as partner schools in the programme and will benefit from interventions funded by the FirstRand Foundation over a period of three years. PPS BURSARIES

PPS bursaries are awarded on financial need basis and scholarships on academic excellence. The bursaries are paid directly to the university where the recipient is studying and are administered by the university to cover university fees and textbook costs.
PPS Bursaries Eligibity

To be eligible for the 2014 PPS Bursaries awards, the student must be registered at a South African university registering for a fourth academic year of study or post-graduate degree and must be studying towards a profession, which on qualification, would be eligible for PPS membership. ATNS BURSARIES

ATNS provides air traffic services throughout the country and is responsible for the provision of the air traffic control and navigation system infrastructure necessary to ensure a safe and effective service


Bursary Programme:

The training bursary provides each bursar with an opportunity to conduct their studies at the Aviation Training Academy (ATA) in Bonaero Park. After the successful completion of the initial course at the ATA, ATNS may offer the bursar a eighteen months fixed term contract to complete the necessary operational on the job training including additional studies at the ATA.
