A bursary refers to the financial assistance that the dti contributes for study expenses of serving, contract and prospective employees, towards their attaining formal qualifications through part-time or full-time studies.
These studies can be conducted with any institution accredited by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and registered with the National Department of Education (DoE).
